The 2020 game at the famous Lakes course was moved from our traditional June date in an effort to avoid the disastrous weather of the past two years.

The plan worked out, barring a light shower at one point, to get the field of 42 players through the 18 holes comfortable and dry. The southerly breeze was enough to test us all and made scoring difficult.

The course was presented in great condition, as usual, with demanding length on some holes and accuracy required on others.

The average score on the day was around 29 points with only two players playing to their handicap. Special mention to new member Richard Harris who managed a very impressive Eagle 3, on the Par 5 14th, the famous Greg Norman Hole, sinking a long put on that undulating green.
