Captain’s Report – Liverpool Golf Club 2020
Summer weather has returned to Sydney for our game at Liverpool, which is a first for October, as for decades October means Hornibrook, and NSW was organized to host the event this year, but had to cancel due to COVID 19. We hope to get the chance to host the event in 2021.
35 players assembled for a game in warm conditions, and the course looked in fine condition following the spring renovations and preparations for club championships. A relaxed one tee start was a welcome change from the usual shotgun and thanks to all players for arriving early.
Liverpool is a top quality layout and while the greens were not super fast they rolled very true as always. The white tees were toward the front and this made scoring a little easier, with three players breaking there handicap and over half the field compiling more than 30 stableford points.
The group enjoyed the commanding views from the clubhouse over a drink and some finger food as the final groups returned. Thanks to Reynold and the Liverpool golf club for putting on a great day at short notice.
