Thirty committed golfers lined up for the much anticipated game at the great Bonnie Doon course.

The weather was clear with a hint of westerly breeze at noon, only to become a little stronger as the afternoon wore on.

The Doon offers mostly spacious driving areas off the tee but on most holes things tighten up toward the greens. Recent renovations have produced many well placed bunkers and most greens present many challenges. Scoring points proved difficult with only 3 players playing to their handicap or better, the average score being in the late 20’s.

All round Bonnie Doon always look after us and make us feel welcome, with great course presentation followed by a tasty dinner in the dining room.
