It was wonderful to be back at Concord for our last game of 2024 and the weather was hot and still as we expect in the Sydney summer.

We had 26 players, which for such a special course this was a little disappointing.

As expected Concord is always immaculate in presentation from the gardens around the club house to the tees, greens and fairways, not a thing out of place. In fact the greens had been spiked to provide aeration in the warm weather and still rolled true.

With good golf conditions on offer we expected some good scores, but testament to the difficult lay out the best score of the day was 35 points, with the average score around 28 points.

After the game the club provided us with a quality steak dinner and everyone enjoyed a little Christmas cheer.

Once again the AGM was held with all positions being returned uncontested, thanks again to the committee to steer the club for another 12 months.

The lucky raffle prize of two games of golf and lunch at the Australian was won by the ever popular Lynn Astley and Warren Keen. Thanks to Graeme for arranging this prize.

The incoming committee once again thanks the regulars for there support but as usual, we could always use a few more players.

We are looking forward to our next game at The Coast on Thursday the 6^th of February 2025 and stay tuned for the unveiling of an exciting new player of the year annual competition with a substantial cash prize for the winner next December.
