Captain’s Report – Stone Cutters Ridge
Clear skies with light south westerly winds, were just right for the 40 builders to descend on Stone Cutters for the second year in succession.
To the Greg Norman design track, all agreed returning was a good idea after having a great golf experiences last year. And once again the course and the venue did not disappoint.
A big roll up of members and visitors assembled for the shot gun start, all out there to enjoy the autumn day and play well.
The course is in great condition with plenty of run on the generous fairways, but a stray ball into the rough was almost certainly lost. The greens are large and undulating with some pin positions providing a real challenge. The scoring proved difficult with the field average of 28 points, and only four players scoring 36 points better.
The buffet dinner hit the spot for the hungry golfers, and that capped off another memorable outing at Stone Cutters Ridge.
